📱 Android Setup Guide

Prerequisites

• Android device running Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later
• At least 100MB of free storage space
• Stable internet connection (WiFi recommended for initial sync)
• A Google account (for Play Store download) or ability to install APKs

Step 1: Download Minima

You have two options to download Minima for Android:

Option A: Google Play Store (Recommended)

The Play Store version is automatically updated and verified by Google.

1. Open the Google Play Store on your device
2. Search for "Minima"
3. Tap Install
4. Wait for the download to complete

Option B: Direct APK Download

If you can't access the Play Store, download the APK directly:

1. Visit minima.global/post/2024/04/10/minima-mobile-launch/
2. Download the latest APK file
3. Open the downloaded file
4. If prompted, enable "Install from unknown sources" in your settings

Step 2: Install the App

1. Tap the Minima icon in your app drawer or on your home screen
2. If you downloaded via APK, you may need to confirm the installation
3. Grant any required permissions (storage, network) when prompted
4. Wait for the app to initialize

Step 3: Your Wallet

The Minima node IS your wallet. There's a built-in Wallet MiniDapp for managing your tokens.

1. Look for the Wallet MiniDapp in your MiniDapp Hub
2. Open it to see your addresses and balance
3. Your 24-word recovery phrase is stored securely - back it up if you haven't already

Step 4: Connect to Network

On first run, Minima connects to the network - this takes about 10 seconds.

1. When prompted, tap to connect to the network
2. Wait a few seconds for the connection
3. You're ready to go!

Step 5: Get Your Keys

You'll need your keys for miniMerch setup. Open the Terminal MiniDapp in Minima:

Minima Address

Your address for receiving payments (starts with 0x):

1. Open the Wallet MiniDapp
2. Tap Receive
3. Copy your address

Maxima mxpublickey

Your public key for encrypting orders (starts with Mx):

1. Open the Terminal MiniDapp
2. Type maxima and press Enter
3. Find the line with "mxpublickey":
4. Copy the value

Troubleshooting

Sync is stuck or very slow

• Check your internet connection
• Try toggling Airplane Mode on and off
• Restart the Minima app
• Make sure your device's date/time is correct

App crashes or won't open

• Clear the app's cache in Settings → Apps → Minima
• Restart your device
• Update to the latest version from Play Store

Forgot your PIN

Use your 24-word recovery phrase to restore your wallet in a new installation.
